What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Casiola Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must ensure that all advertising and promotion of their franchised business is completely factual and conforms to the highest standards of ethical advertising. All advertising and promotion must also conform to Casiola's standards and specifications. Casiola retains the unilateral right to reject any advertising related to the franchised business, the franchisor, the Casiola system, Casiola businesses, and/or the use of licensed marks.
Casiola franchisees may be required to participate in a local or regional advertising cooperative if one is established in their area. If participation is required, franchisees must contribute to the cooperative, and these contributions can count toward the franchisee's minimum local marketing obligations. All marketing materials, plans, or media used by the advertising cooperative or its members require prior written approval from Casiola.
These stipulations ensure that Casiola maintains control over its brand image and marketing strategies, requiring franchisees to align their advertising efforts with the franchisor's standards and providing Casiola with the authority to approve or reject any marketing materials. Franchisees should be aware of the potential costs and obligations associated with participating in advertising cooperatives and the need to obtain approval for all marketing initiatives.
