What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Casiola retains significant control over advertising cooperatives. Casiola has the right to authorize, establish, designate, and de-authorize local or regional advertising cooperatives within markets they designate, based on their reasonable business judgment.

Casiola possesses the sole and exclusive right to designate any geographic area with two or more Casiola Business franchises as a region for establishing an Advertising Cooperative. If a franchisee's Casiola Business or Operating Market falls within the designated area, participation and contribution to the Advertising Cooperative are mandatory.

This means that Casiola franchisees may be required to participate in and contribute to advertising cooperatives if their business is located within a designated area. Franchisees do not have a choice in whether or not to participate if designated, and Casiola ultimately controls the geographic scope and existence of these cooperatives. This could impact a franchisee's marketing strategies and costs, as they must adhere to the cooperative's guidelines and financial obligations.
