What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Casiola is not required to conduct advertising or spend any amount on advertising on behalf of a franchisee's Operating Market. However, Casiola may make approved marketing templates available to franchisees, which the franchisee may utilize at their own expense.

Casiola maintains the right to authorize, establish, designate, and de-authorize local or regional advertising cooperatives within designated markets. If a cooperative is established in a market that includes a franchisee's Casiola Business, the franchisee must contribute to the cooperative in amounts and frequency determined by the cooperative. Members of the cooperative are responsible for administering it, including determining contributions, marketing expenditures, and allocations. Casiola may require decisions to be based on a simple majority of franchisee members, with one vote per Casiola Business, and a quorum of not less than 25% of the designated franchisee cooperative members.

Casiola may control and administer a brand development fund, which may be used for various marketing and advertising-related activities. However, the Brand Development Fund will not be used to directly promote a franchisee's Casiola Business or the marketing area in which it is located. Casiola may use the fund to develop and test media and technologies that may or may not benefit individual Casiola Businesses.
