What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Casiola may require franchisees to pay the local marketing fee directly to them. Franchisees must spend a minimum of $450 per month for their first territory, and an additional $450 per month for each additional territory, on local marketing. These marketing efforts must adhere to Casiola's standards and specifications.
If Casiola exercises its right to collect the local marketing fees directly, it will then allocate and spend these funds on behalf of the franchisee's Casiola business. This means that while the franchisee is still responsible for funding the local marketing efforts, Casiola assumes control over how those funds are spent.
This arrangement gives Casiola greater control over brand consistency and marketing strategy, but it also means franchisees have less direct control over their local marketing. Franchisees should ensure they understand Casiola's marketing strategy and how their funds will be used to promote their specific location before signing the agreement.
