What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain Automobile Liability Insurance. This insurance must cover all owned, non-owned, and hired vehicles used in conjunction with the services provided by the franchisee.

The minimum combined single limit for this insurance is $1,000,000 per occurrence. This means that in the event of an accident involving a vehicle used for the Casiola business, the insurance policy must provide at least $1,000,000 in coverage for bodily injury and property damage.

Casiola also requires franchisees to maintain other types of insurance, including Commercial General Liability Insurance and Workers' Compensation Insurance. Franchisees must ensure that their insurance policies are written by a responsible carrier, reasonably acceptable to Casiola, and that Casiola is named as an additional insured (excluding workers' compensation). The insurance carrier must also provide Casiola with at least 30 days' prior written notice in the event of a material alteration to, or cancellation of, any insurance policy. A certificate of insurance must be furnished to Casiola at the earlier of 90 days after the Effective Date of the Franchise Agreement or prior to the commencement of the initial training program.
