What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to reimburse Casiola for travel and hotel accommodation expenses related to supplemental training. Casiola may offer supplemental training within the franchisee's operating market or remotely through online web-based conferencing. However, Casiola reserves the right to approve or reject any request for supplemental training.
If Casiola agrees to provide supplemental training, the franchisee must pay a supplemental training fee. This fee is $750 per trainer per day. In addition to this daily fee, the franchisee must also reimburse Casiola for any travel and hotel accommodation expenses incurred by Casiola.
This policy has a few implications for prospective Casiola franchisees. First, franchisees should be aware that they may need to cover these additional costs if supplemental training is deemed necessary by Casiola, especially if the franchisee hires a new Operating Manager, or if Casiola determines that the franchisee is not meeting operational standards. Franchisees should factor in these potential expenses when budgeting for their franchise. Also, supplemental training fees must be pre-paid in advance of training and upon submission of invoice by Casiola to franchisee.
