Casiola Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

Subject to market type, availability, and our discretion, at the time of signing your Franchise Agreement, you may request the right to purchase additional territories (each referred to as an "Additional Territory") to be added to your Operating Market and operated under one Franchise Agreement. Each Additional Territory will be comprised of approximately up to 5,000 potential rentable individual short-term rental properties within a 40 minute drive time from your administrative office. Your first Territory and, if applicable, each Additional Territory is collectively referred to collectively as your "Territories" and, individually, as a "Territory."

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, when a franchisee purchases additional territories, each territory is expected to contain approximately up to 5,000 potential rentable individual short-term rental properties. These territories are subject to market type, availability, and Casiola's discretion.

Each additional territory is designed to be within a 40-minute drive of the franchisee's administrative office. The initial territory and any additional territories are collectively referred to as "Territories" and individually as a "Territory." This structure allows franchisees to expand their operational footprint while maintaining a reasonable geographic concentration.

The number of potential rentable properties is an important factor for franchisees to consider, as it directly impacts the potential market size and revenue opportunities within each territory. Prospective franchisees should evaluate the market conditions and the actual number of rentable properties available in their desired territories to assess the viability of expansion.

Casiola retains the discretion to approve or deny requests for additional territories based on market conditions and other factors. This means that even if a franchisee desires to expand, Casiola's approval is necessary, adding a layer of uncertainty to future growth plans. Franchisees should discuss the criteria Casiola uses to evaluate requests for additional territories to better understand the expansion process.
