What This Means (2024 FDD)
Based on the 2024 Casiola Franchise Disclosure Document, the document does not explicitly state whether Casiola provides instructors and training materials for refresher training courses. However, the document does mention the requirement of completing a training program under specific circumstances.
Specifically, if a franchisee is an individual and becomes deceased or permanently disabled, the appointed manager must attend and successfully complete the Training Program within 60 days of the appointment. Similarly, if the franchisee is a corporate entity and the Managing Owner dies or becomes permanently disabled, a new Managing Owner must be appointed and approved by Casiola. This new Managing Owner is also required to attend and successfully complete the Training Program within 60 days of their appointment.
While the FDD details initial training requirements for managers and managing owners in cases of death or disability, it remains unclear whether Casiola offers refresher courses or materials to existing franchisees or their employees under normal operating conditions. A prospective franchisee should clarify with Casiola the availability and content of any ongoing training or refresher programs to ensure continuous operational improvement and adherence to brand standards.
