What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Commission+ Fees are paid directly to Casiola by the customers of each Casiola Business. These fees are for property management services and other approved services and products, excluding Ancillary Third Party Service Fees. Casiola determines the amount of these Commission+ Fees, which are typically calculated as a percentage of the Gross Rental Revenues+ of a property managed by the Casiola Business.
Gross Rental Revenues+ include all revenues, sales, receipts, and fees paid by the end-user customer for services such as rental, leasing, property management, insuring, servicing, reserving, and/or use of a property. These revenues do not include taxes collected and remitted to the proper taxing authority, nor do they include Ancillary Third Party Service Fees.
This arrangement means that Casiola has direct control over the collection of Commission+ Fees from the customers, which are then used to compensate the Casiola Business for its services. This structure ensures that Casiola can manage and distribute revenues efficiently, while also maintaining oversight of the financial transactions within the franchise system. As a franchisee, it is important to understand how these fees are calculated and distributed, as they directly impact the revenue stream of the business.
