What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Casiola Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's contributions to the Advertising Cooperative are capped. The maximum contribution a Casiola franchisee must make to the Advertising Cooperative will not exceed the franchisee's local minimum marketing obligations, as detailed in Article 9.B of the Franchise Agreement. Furthermore, any contributions made to the Advertising Cooperative will count towards fulfilling the franchisee's minimum local marketing obligations.
This means that Casiola franchisees are required to participate in and contribute to the Advertising Cooperative if one is established for their area. The specific amount they must contribute will be determined by the Advertising Cooperative itself. However, there is a limit to how much they can be required to contribute.
For a prospective Casiola franchisee, this is beneficial because it sets a ceiling on advertising expenses related to the cooperative. It is important to review Article 9.B of the Franchise Agreement to fully understand what the minimum local marketing obligations are, as this will determine the maximum contribution to the Advertising Cooperative. Franchisees should also inquire about how the Advertising Cooperative determines contribution amounts to anticipate these costs.
