The Franchise Agreement requires that you or, if you are a Corporate Entity, that your managing shareholder or partner be personally responsible for the daily management and supervision of the Franchised Business (the "Managing Owner"). We must approve your Managing Owner and your Managing Owner must dedicate his or her full time efforts to the management and operation of the Franchise. Your Managing Owner must have satisfactorily completed our initial training and must have obtained all required licenses and permits necessary to operate a Casiola Business within your Operating Market.

According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the franchisee is a corporate entity, the managing shareholder or partner, known as the "Managing Owner," must be personally responsible for the daily management and supervision of the franchised business. Casiola must approve the Managing Owner, and this individual is required to dedicate their full-time efforts to the management and operation of the franchise.
The Managing Owner must also satisfactorily complete Casiola's initial training and obtain all necessary licenses and permits to operate the Casiola business within their operating market. This ensures that the person in charge is fully equipped and qualified to run the franchise according to Casiola's standards and requirements.
While a franchisee can hire a manager to oversee the daily operations, this "Operating Manager" must meet Casiola's minimum standards, complete the initial training program, and sign confidentiality and non-competition agreements. This Operating Manager does not need to have any equity interest in the franchise. However, even with an Operating Manager in place, the Managing Owner's full-time dedication is still expected, highlighting the importance Casiola places on active and engaged leadership within each franchise location.
