What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's right to operate is limited to offering approved services and products within their designated Operating Market. Casiola franchisees are required to use only the franchisor's System Supplies, Licensed Marks, and the specifications and requirements detailed in Casiola's manuals, which collectively constitute the Casiola System.
This means that franchisees must adhere strictly to the resources and guidelines provided by Casiola. The System Supplies include designated booking platforms, online travel agencies, damage waiver fee agreements, insurance products, customer support, invoicing, and management systems. The Licensed Marks refer to the Casiola trademark, registered logo, and other trade dress. The manuals contain the specific operational procedures and standards that franchisees must follow.
By mandating the use of specific System Supplies, Licensed Marks, and operational guidelines, Casiola aims to maintain brand consistency and quality control across all franchise locations. This standardization is a common practice in franchising, intended to ensure that customers receive a uniform experience regardless of the location they visit. For a prospective franchisee, this means less autonomy in choosing suppliers and operational methods, but it also provides a structured framework for running the business.
