What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to spend a minimum amount on local marketing. Specifically, a Casiola franchisee must spend no less than $450 per month for their first territory. For each additional territory, the franchisee must spend an additional $450 per month. This spending must be directed towards the local marketing of the Casiola business within the franchisee's operating market and must adhere to Casiola's standards and specifications.

Casiola retains the right to require that these local marketing funds be paid directly to them, which they will then allocate and spend on behalf of the franchisee's Casiola business. This provision gives Casiola control over how the local marketing funds are used, ensuring that the marketing efforts align with the brand's overall strategy and standards.

Furthermore, if Casiola establishes a local or regional advertising cooperative in a designated market that includes a franchisee's Casiola business, the franchisee is required to participate in the cooperative and make ongoing payments as determined by the cooperative members. Each Casiola Business franchisee will have one vote for each Casiola Business located within the cooperative market, and cooperative decisions are made by a simple majority vote, provided at least 25% of the designated cooperative members are present. Contributions to a designated local or regional cooperative will count toward satisfying the franchisee's minimum local marketing requirements, but these contributions cannot exceed the local marketing requirement.
