What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'System Supplies' are defined as the products, equipment, and supplies that Casiola designates as required for use in connection with a franchisee's Casiola business and the approved services and products. These supplies include both System-branded and non-branded items, as well as third-party branded equipment and supplies that Casiola designates for the day-to-day operations of the franchisee's business.
Specifically, System Supplies encompass a range of items such as Franchisor designated rental property booking platforms, online travel agencies, damage waiver fee agreements and terms, rental and travel insurance products, customer support, invoicing, and management systems, and materials, and other products designated by Franchisor in the Operations Manual and/or otherwise in writing and, as may be modified and supplemented by Franchisor from time to time in Franchisor's Reasonable Business Judgment. Additionally, System Supplies include products that Casiola authorizes for sale to customers of the Casiola business.
Upon termination of the franchise agreement, a former Casiola franchisee must permanently cease using these System Supplies, which includes communicating with or ordering products from Casiola's designated suppliers and vendors. This obligation ensures that the former franchisee does not continue to operate in a manner that could be perceived as being affiliated with Casiola or using proprietary resources and systems after the franchise agreement has ended. This is a standard practice in franchising to protect the brand's integrity and prevent confusion in the marketplace.
