What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to brand standards that include employee knowledge and implementation of Casiola's System brand standards. These standards cover various aspects of the business, ensuring uniformity and quality across all franchise locations.
However, the brand standards specifically exclude requirements related to employment or joint employment policies. This means that while Casiola mandates certain knowledge and implementation standards for employees, the franchisor does not dictate the employment policies franchisees must adopt.
This exclusion provides franchisees with autonomy in managing their employee relations and ensures they comply with local labor laws and regulations without direct interference from Casiola on employment-related matters. Franchisees should consult with legal counsel to ensure their employment policies align with applicable laws and best practices.
