What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees and their owners must comply with Anti-Terrorism Laws. These laws include Executive Order 13224 issued by the President of the United States and the USA PATRIOT Act. Additionally, franchisees must adhere to all other present and future federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations, policies, lists, and any other requirements from governmental authorities that address or relate to terrorist acts and acts of war.
Casiola franchisees and their owners must certify, represent, and warrant that their property and interests are not subject to being "blocked" under any of the Anti-Terrorism Laws. They also confirm that they are not in violation of any of these laws. Furthermore, franchisees and owners must certify that they are not listed on the Annex to Executive Order 13244, which is available on the U.S. Department of the Treasury's website, and agree not to become listed, hire anyone listed, or have dealings with anyone listed.
The franchisee is obligated to immediately notify Casiola if they or any owner becomes listed on the Annex to Executive Order 13244.
