What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Additional Employee Initial Training fee is invoiced and due prior to the training. The initial pre-opening training is provided at no additional cost for the franchisee, their Managing Owner, and one designated manager. However, if additional individuals are authorized to attend the training, a fee applies. Currently, this fee is $500 per person per day, but this amount is subject to change.
The franchisee is responsible for all fees, wages, and expenses associated with the attendance of additional employees at the training. This means that in addition to the training fee itself, the franchisee will also need to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and wages for the employees attending the training.
This policy is fairly standard in the franchise industry, as franchisors often include initial training for the franchisee and a small management team, but charge for additional staff to offset the costs of materials, instructors, and facilities. Prospective Casiola franchisees should factor in these potential training costs when planning their initial investment and staffing needs.
