Casa_De_Corazon Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Although you do not need to be an owner-operator, you must be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Center and you must be the license holder as required by applicable state law. If you are an entity, your majority owner must be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Center and this individual or the entity may be the license holder, as permitted by applicable state law. If you are not going to be overseeing the Center on a full-time basis you must retain an Operations Manager to oversee the Center's Operations. Although no prior experience in operating a child care center is needed, we are looking for franchisees who have some management experience and a college degree. The Operations Manager and the Director of the Center must also have management experience, be Spanish/English bilingual and have a college degree. The Director of the Center will also need to be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Center.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Casa De Corazon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while prior experience in operating a child care center is not required, Casa De Corazon seeks franchisees with some management experience and a college degree. This suggests that while specific childcare expertise isn't mandatory, a foundational understanding of business management is considered important for running a Casa De Corazon franchise. The franchisee must also be the license holder as required by applicable state law. If the franchisee is an entity, the majority owner must be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Center and this individual or the entity may be the license holder, as permitted by applicable state law.

If a franchisee will not be overseeing the Center on a full-time basis, they must employ an Operations Manager to handle the Center's operations. The Operations Manager and the Director of the Center must have management experience, be Spanish/English bilingual, and possess a college degree. The Director of the Center also needs to be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Center. This indicates that Casa De Corazon places a strong emphasis on qualified management, especially if the franchisee is not directly involved in daily operations. The requirement for bilingualism for the Operations Manager and Director highlights the importance of Spanish language skills in the Casa De Corazon business model.

In summary, Casa De Corazon prioritizes franchisees with general management skills and a college education, even without specific childcare experience. They also require hands-on involvement either by the franchisee or a qualified Operations Manager. The emphasis on bilingualism for key management roles underscores the brand's focus on Spanish immersion and intercultural learning.
