What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Casa De Corazon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay for training, with specific costs and payment terms outlined. For any additional training provided by Casa De Corazon, the franchisee will be charged at the then-current rate, which as of the FDD's date, is $150 per hour. If this training does not occur at Casa De Corazon's offices, the franchisee is also responsible for reimbursing Casa De Corazon for the travel and living expenses of the trainer. The franchisee is separately responsible for the travel and living expenses for their own staff attending the training. All training fees and expense reimbursements are due to Casa De Corazon at the time and via the method that Casa De Corazon specifies.
In addition to the above, Casa De Corazon may provide additional optional training at the franchisee's request, covering topics agreed upon by both parties, including training for the facility manager. Casa De Corazon will determine the location for such training, or it may be provided electronically. The fees for this additional training will be determined by Casa De Corazon and must be paid before the training begins. The cost for this optional training is currently $150 per hour, plus travel and living expenses for Casa De Corazon's trainers if the training is not held at Casa De Corazon's offices; however, this cost is subject to change.
This means that franchisees need to budget not only for the initial and ongoing training fees but also for potential travel and accommodation costs, both for their staff and for Casa De Corazon's trainers in certain situations. The franchisor retains the right to modify the training fees, so franchisees should confirm the current rates before scheduling any additional training. Understanding these costs and payment terms is crucial for managing the financial aspects of the franchise and ensuring compliance with Casa De Corazon's requirements.
