Carvel Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We require you to provide delivery services and you must do so in accordance with any restrictions and guidelines that we may establish in the Manuals or otherwise in writing. You may only provide delivery services through a TPS that we approve or designate. If a TPS is unavailable to provide delivery services for your Shoppe, you may not be required to offer delivery services, subject to our written approval.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may not be required to offer delivery services if a Third-Party Supplier (TPS) is unavailable to provide these services for their specific Carvel Shoppe. However, this exception is subject to Carvel's written approval.

Carvel requires franchisees to provide delivery services, adhering to any guidelines established in their manuals or other written communications. These delivery services must be provided through a TPS that Carvel approves or designates. This means franchisees cannot choose their own delivery providers without Carvel's consent.

This policy ensures that Carvel maintains control over the quality and consistency of its delivery services. However, if no approved TPS is available in a franchisee's area, the franchisee may be exempt from the delivery requirement, pending written approval from Carvel. This could be beneficial for franchisees in less populated areas where using a TPS may not be feasible or cost-effective.
