What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Relocation Fee is due before your relocation. If a Carvel franchisee chooses to relocate their franchise to a new site that Carvel has approved, they must pay a Relocation Fee.
The Relocation Fee is 10% of the then-current Initial Franchise Fee. This fee must be paid before the franchisee relocates to the new site. In addition to the Relocation Fee, Carvel also charges a Relocation Extension Fee.
The Relocation Extension Fee is $1,500 per year that the term is extended. This fee is due before Carvel signs the relocation Franchise Agreement. This fee is applicable if Carvel agrees to extend the term of the Franchise Agreement (or enter into a new Franchise Agreement) to match the term of the new lease.
