What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, on-the-job training for equipment is conducted at 'Certified Training Locations that we specify.' For hourly employees, the on-the-job training for 'Equipment (Ice Cream Machine)' is 3 hours.

These Certified Training Locations are Shoppes that Carvel has certified as authorized training facilities. These locations may be operated by existing Carvel franchisees and may be located outside of the franchisee's state.

Carvel also provides on-site support for the first two Shoppes, which includes opening training and assistance for approximately seven days after the certificate of occupancy and health permit are obtained. This on-site training is considered a second phase of the Management Training Program, which franchisees are required to complete successfully.
