What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a prospective franchisee who believes a statement in the Franchisee Disclosure Acknowledgement is inaccurate should immediately email Tim Goodman, Senior Vice President of Franchise Administration, at tgoodman@gotofoods.com. The franchisee should also provide an explanation of why they believe the statement is inaccurate and cease signing the Acknowledgment and related documents.

However, it's important to note that this acknowledgement is not applicable, and should not be completed, if the franchise is subject to state franchise disclosure laws in California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. Additionally, the acknowledgement should not be signed if the franchise is to be operated in, or the franchisee is a resident of, Maryland. This highlights the importance of understanding the specific legal requirements and addenda applicable to the franchisee's state.
