What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Carvel may make available approved advertising and promotional materials for franchisees to purchase. These materials include signs, posters and other collateral that Carvel has prepared.

Beyond these materials, franchisees are generally required to use only advertising and promotional content that Carvel has either furnished or approved in writing. This content encompasses a wide range of materials, including branded items like business cards and signs, press releases, printed materials such as leaflets and coupons, promotional items like branded merchandise and clothing, audio and video advertising, and digital marketing content.

Franchisees must ensure that all advertising and promotional content is clear, factual, ethical, and not misleading, and that it complies with all applicable laws and Carvel's standards and advertising policies. Carvel also retains the right to approve all marketing programs and advertising materials developed by Advertising Cooperatives, and may terminate or suspend a Cooperative's program or operations with 30 days' notice.
