What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has 15 days after executing the Site Agreement to provide it to Carvel. Failure to do so will result in a Lease Documentation Late Fee. This requirement applies both to the initial Site Agreement and to any subsequent modifications or renewals of the agreement.

The Lease Documentation Late Fee is $500 per month (or partial month) from the date the Site Agreement was due until it is actually delivered to Carvel. This fee is intended to encourage franchisees to promptly submit all necessary documentation related to their site.

This policy ensures that Carvel has timely access to important lease and site information, allowing them to monitor compliance with franchise agreement terms and maintain oversight of the brand's locations. Franchisees should prioritize submitting the Site Agreement within the specified timeframe to avoid incurring these late fees, as they can accumulate quickly.
