What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee varies depending on the type of Carvel Shoppe you establish. For a standard Carvel Shoppe, the initial franchise fee is $10,500. However, for a Co-Branded Shoppe, which combines Carvel with another brand like Cinnabon, the initial franchise fee is significantly higher.
For a Co-Branded Shoppe, the initial franchise fee payable to Carvel is $30,500. In addition to this, you must also pay an initial franchise fee to Cinnabon of $30,500. Therefore, the total initial franchise fee for a Co-Branded Shoppe is $61,000.
Therefore, the highest initial franchise fee you can expect to pay to Carvel is $61,000 for a Co-Branded Shoppe. This fee is due at the signing of the Franchise Agreement and is paid as a lump sum to Carvel.
