What is the current fee charged by Carvel for On-Site Training per trainer per day?

We may charge you a reasonable fee for On-Site Training, which is currently $500 per trainer per day and may be increased in any calendar year by no more than the Allowed Adjustment, for each of our trainers and may require you to reimburse us for their travel and living expenses (including airfare, car expenses, lodging, meals, etc.) during such On-Site Training.

We also may offer you additional consulting or support services, including On-Site Training and remote support, that are greater in scope than our standard support services. We may charge you a reasonable fee for these services, which is currently $500 per representative per day and may be increased in any calendar year by no more than the Allowed Adjustment, and, for On-Site Training, require you to reimburse us for their travel and living expenses (including airfare, car expenses, lodging, meals, etc.). Additional consulting or support services are subject to availability and shall be offered in our sole discretion.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carvel's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the current fee for On-Site Training is $500 per trainer per day. This fee may be increased in any calendar year, but the increase will not exceed the Allowed Adjustment. In addition to the daily fee, Carvel may also require the franchisee to reimburse them for the trainer's travel and living expenses, including airfare, car expenses, lodging, and meals, incurred during the On-Site Training.
Carvel is not obligated to provide any on-site training at the franchisee's location, unless specified on Schedule A. The franchisee may request on-site training, and Carvel may agree to provide it, but they are not required to do so. Carvel may also require the franchisee to obtain on-site training at any time, including before or after the opening date, or if the franchisee fails to comply with Carvel's system and standards.
Additionally, Carvel may offer additional consulting or support services, including On-Site Training and remote support, that are greater in scope than their standard support services. The fee for these services is also currently $500 per representative per day and may be increased annually by no more than the Allowed Adjustment. For On-Site Training, franchisees may also be required to reimburse Carvel for travel and living expenses. These additional consulting or support services are subject to availability and are offered at Carvel's sole discretion.
For franchisees, this means that while initial training is provided, any additional on-site support will come at a cost. Franchisees should factor in these potential expenses when budgeting, especially if they anticipate needing extra assistance or if Carvel mandates additional training due to non-compliance issues.
