What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Carls Jr. Franchise Disclosure Document, a Multi-Unit Development Manager must successfully complete specific training programs. If requested by Carls Jr., the Multi-Unit Development Manager is required to successfully complete Carls Jr.'s development training.
In addition to the development training, the Multi-Unit Development Manager must successfully complete the Franchise Management Training Program (FMTP). The franchisor also has the discretion to require the Multi-Unit Development Manager to complete any additional training programs it deems necessary.
It is important to note that these training requirements are not always mandatory. Carls Jr. reserves the right to waive the development training requirement in writing. However, unless a waiver is granted, the Multi-Unit Development Manager must fulfill all training obligations to maintain their position and ensure the proper development of Carls Jr. franchises in their designated markets.
