What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Carls Jr. Franchise Disclosure Document, Carls Jr. can audit a franchisee's compliance with consumer information obligations at least once every twelve months. These audits can include manual reviews, automated scans, and technical and operational testing.
This means that as a Carls Jr. franchisee, you should expect regular audits to ensure you are meeting the brand's standards for handling consumer information. These audits are designed to protect consumer data and maintain compliance with privacy laws. Franchisees must cooperate with Carls Jr.'s internal and external auditors during these assessments.
It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the scope of these audits and the potential costs associated with maintaining compliance. Failure to comply with consumer information obligations could result in penalties or other consequences, so franchisees must take these requirements seriously. Franchisees should ensure they have systems in place to properly manage and protect consumer information, and that they stay up-to-date on any changes to privacy laws or Carls Jr.'s policies.
