What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Carls's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee is a business entity, they must furnish CJR with copies of their governing documents. These documents include any corporate records, books, or other documents that CJR requests.
Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to provide CJR with copies of any modifications or changes made to these governing documents promptly. This ensures that Carls maintains up-to-date information regarding the franchisee's organizational structure and operational guidelines.
This requirement allows Carls to monitor the franchisee's compliance with the franchise agreement and to ensure that the business entity is operating within the scope of the agreement. It also enables Carls to assess any potential risks associated with changes in the franchisee's organizational structure or governing documents.
