What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Carls's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must participate in all customer loyalty programs that CJR (Carls Jr. Restaurants LLC) implements during the term of the Franchise Agreement. This obligation ensures brand consistency and allows Carls to gather customer data across all locations.

To properly operate the loyalty program, franchisees must ensure that their restaurant has all the required technology. Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to sign any loyalty program agreements requested by Carls, either directly with Carls or with a third-party provider, at any point during the agreement term.

This requirement means that franchisees need to budget for potential technology upgrades and be prepared to integrate new systems as Carls introduces them. Franchisees should inquire about the typical costs and frequency of these loyalty program updates to better understand the financial implications.
