What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Carls's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to conduct initial and continuing training programs for their employees. Carls may specify the requirements for these training programs from time to time, ensuring that all employees are properly trained in the operation of the franchised restaurant.
Carls also provides pre-opening assistance to franchisees regarding employee selection and training. Carls may also offer assistance in opening the franchised restaurant and in training the franchisee's employees, charging a fee for the opening training support team based on the level of support needed.
The franchisee is responsible for hiring and employing a sufficient number of trained employees and for their proper training in operations, human resources, and customer relations. The franchisee must also ensure that employees meet Carls's standards for conduct, appearance, and customer service.
