What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are prohibited from posting defamatory material when using the company's website. As a condition of using the website, franchisees agree that they will not send, publish, post, upload, distribute, or disseminate any defamatory materials. This extends to any materials that are considered inappropriate, threatening, abusive, profane, infringing, obscene, indecent, or otherwise objectionable. Franchisees must adhere to these standards to maintain compliance with Caring Transitions' system standards.
This restriction ensures that franchisees and their employees or agents do not use the Caring Transitions website to harm the reputation of others. By agreeing to these terms, franchisees acknowledge their responsibility to avoid posting content that could lead to civil liability or violate any laws. This is a standard practice in franchising to protect the brand's image and maintain a professional online environment.
Failure to comply with these guidelines could result in a breach of the franchise agreement. Therefore, it is crucial for franchisees to educate themselves and their staff on what constitutes defamatory material and to monitor all content posted on the Caring Transitions website to ensure it aligns with the franchisor's standards.
