What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Caring Transitions Franchise Disclosure Document, the Washington Addendum is an integral part of the franchise agreement and modifies the Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement, and all related agreements, regardless of any contradictory information within those documents.
The Washington Addendum applies under the following conditions: (a) if the offer to sell a Caring Transitions franchise is accepted in Washington; (b) if the purchaser of the franchise is a resident of Washington; and/or (c) if the franchised business that is the subject of the sale is to be located or operated, wholly or partly, in Washington.
This means that if a prospective Caring Transitions franchisee lives in Washington, accepts the franchise offer in Washington, or plans to operate their Caring Transitions franchise in Washington, the Washington Addendum will be incorporated into their franchise agreement. This addendum may include state-specific legal requirements or modifications to the standard franchise agreement to comply with Washington state law, which is a common practice in franchising to ensure compliance with varying state regulations.
