What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Caring Transitions may require franchisees to purchase or license proprietary software programs or websites for use in their franchised business.
The FDD specifies that Caring Transitions may develop or authorize others to develop proprietary software programs or websites for use within the Caring Transitions system. If this occurs, franchisees may be required to purchase and/or license and use these programs or websites in connection with their franchise operations. Franchisees must also execute any license, sublicense, or maintenance agreements required by Caring Transitions or any approved licensor or vendor of these proprietary items.
This requirement ensures that all Caring Transitions franchisees use standardized and approved software and websites, maintaining consistency and quality across the brand. It also allows Caring Transitions to implement system-wide updates and improvements more efficiently. However, it also means that franchisees may incur additional costs for purchasing or licensing these proprietary tools, and they must adhere to the specific terms and conditions set forth in any related agreements.
