What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any data collected by the franchisee, downloaded from their Communication and Information System, or otherwise collected by Caring Transitions is exclusively owned by Caring Transitions. However, Caring Transitions grants the franchisee a license to use this data.
The franchisee's license to use the data is specifically for the purpose of operating their franchised Caring Transitions business. This means the franchisee can leverage the collected data to manage and improve their local operations, understand customer trends within their territory, and tailor their services to better meet local needs.
It is important to note that this license is not perpetual. The license to use the data automatically expires when the franchise agreement terminates or expires. This means that upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, the franchisee loses the right to use the data previously collected during the term of the franchise agreement. This condition underscores the importance of the franchise agreement's term and renewal options for franchisees who rely on data-driven strategies.
