What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering all expenses related to attending refresher courses, seminars, and other training programs. This includes the costs of travel, room, board, and wages for the franchisee and their trainees.
Caring Transitions may charge a fee for the additional training itself, separate from the franchisee's expenses. This means that franchisees need to budget not only for the direct costs of the training program but also for all associated travel and accommodation expenses.
This requirement is in place to ensure that Caring Transitions franchisees stay up-to-date with the latest system standards and operating procedures. While the franchisor may mandate these refresher courses, the financial burden of attending them falls on the franchisee. This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, where franchisees typically bear the costs of ongoing training.
