What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Caring Transitions Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no explicit mention of Caring Transitions monitoring a franchisee's sales performance directly. However, the document does state that to conduct sales on CTBIDS, franchisees must apply and be approved by the Caring Transitions/CTBIDS payment processor. Franchisees must supply all legal documents required by the payment processor upon request, and failure to do so may result in the inability to conduct sales on CTBIDS. Caring Transitions has no access to the franchisee's account with the payment processor, and the franchisee accepts full responsibility for maintaining the account and ensuring they are in good standing with the payment processor. The payment processor has the right to hold funds for 21 days if there is a dispute/limitation on the franchisee's account.

While Caring Transitions doesn't directly access the payment processor account, the requirement to use their approved payment processor for CTBIDS sales and the potential for sales disruption if the franchisee isn't in good standing suggests an indirect method of oversight. A prospective franchisee should clarify with Caring Transitions the extent to which sales data is reviewed, what metrics are tracked, and what actions Caring Transitions might take based on sales performance.

It is important for a potential franchisee to understand the specific reporting requirements and performance benchmarks that Caring Transitions expects. Further investigation into the CTBIDS payment processor relationship and data sharing agreements would provide a clearer picture of how Caring Transitions monitors sales and ensures compliance within its franchise system.
