What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee will never be required to be a member of more than one Cooperative.

Caring Transitions may designate geographical areas with at least two franchises to establish a local or regional marketing and advertising cooperative. If a Cooperative already exists when a franchisee opens their business, they must immediately become a member. Similarly, if a Cooperative is established during the franchise agreement term, the franchisee must join immediately.

These Cooperatives are designed to administer local or regional advertising programs and develop standardized promotional materials, subject to Caring Transitions' approval. Franchisees are required to contribute to the Cooperative, with the amount determined by Caring Transitions or the Cooperative itself. This contribution cannot exceed 3% of the franchisee's gross receipts unless a majority of the Cooperative members agree to a higher amount.
