What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering certain expenses related to the initial training program. While Caring Transitions will cover the costs for the instructors, training facilities, and training materials, the franchisee must pay for all other expenses incurred by themselves and their trainees.

These expenses specifically include, but are not limited to, the costs of travel, room and board, wages, and payroll taxes. This means a prospective Caring Transitions franchisee needs to budget not only for the franchise fee and other initial investments, but also for the full cost of attending the initial training.

This can be a significant expense, as it includes transportation to the training location, accommodation during the training period, meals, and any wages that need to be paid to the franchisee or designated individual while they are in training. Failing to account for these costs could put a strain on the franchisee's finances during the initial phase of setting up the business. It is important to note that if the franchisee or designated individual fails to begin the training program within ninety days after the agreement's effective date, Caring Transitions has the right to terminate the agreement without refunding any money paid by the franchisee.
