What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Caring Transitions Franchise Disclosure Document, the document does not explicitly state that a franchisee is required to establish a training program for all employees. However, Caring Transitions emphasizes the importance of System Standards, which include uniform specifications, standards, operating procedures, and rules prescribed by the franchisor. Franchisees must comply with these standards, which are periodically modified and supplemented by Caring Transitions. These standards are communicated in the Manual or in writing and are considered provisions of the franchise agreement.
Furthermore, the FDD mentions that the franchisee may be required to participate in any evaluation of standards or quality that Caring Transitions may conduct. The franchisee must provide Caring Transitions access to their employees for this purpose. This suggests that employee training and adherence to system standards are important for maintaining quality and consistency across all Caring Transitions franchises.
While a specific mandatory training program for all employees is not detailed in the provided excerpts, franchisees should clarify with Caring Transitions what specific training, if any, is required for employees to ensure compliance with System Standards and to maintain the quality of services offered. Franchisees are also responsible for all expenses incurred by themselves and their trainees, including travel, room, board, wages, and any training fees charged by Caring Transitions for additional or ongoing training.
