What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Caring Transitions Franchise Disclosure Document, the excerpt provided does not detail the specific procedures a franchisee must follow to maintain a client list. However, the FDD does address the use of websites and electronic distribution channels.
The document states that Caring Transitions franchisees must adhere to conditions and standards set by the franchisor regarding electronic distribution channels, including any Caring Transitions website maintained by the franchisee. The franchisor retains ownership of all domain names containing the Caring Transitions marks or relating to the franchised business. Franchisees cannot register domain names with the Caring Transitions marks. Franchisees must obtain prior written approval from Caring Transitions for any domain name and the form and content of any Caring Transitions website before it is used on the Internet. Any Caring Transitions website must link to the Franchisor's website, and all other hyperlinks to third-party websites must be approved in writing by the franchisor.
To understand the specific requirements for maintaining a client list, a prospective Caring Transitions franchisee should inquire directly with the franchisor about the policies, procedures, and systems used for client management. This includes understanding what information must be collected, how it should be stored and secured, and any regulations regarding data privacy and usage.
