- 7.4 Fixtures and Furnishings.
Franchisee, at its own expense, shall purchase and install, the Communication and Information System as specified in Section 7.15 below, and all fixtures, furnishings, signs, and other equipment as may be specified by the System Standards from time to time; and shall not permit the installation of any fixtures, furnishings, signs, or other equipment not conforming to the System Standards.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must purchase and install the Communication and Information System at their own expense. This installation must adhere to the specifications outlined in Section 7.15 of the FDD and conform to the System Standards.
The Communication and Information System, as defined in the agreement, includes hardware, software for managing the franchised business, and communication systems. The franchisee is obligated to lease or purchase this system only from vendors or suppliers approved in writing by Caring Transitions. Furthermore, franchisees are prohibited from installing any unauthorized devices or software with the approved system.
Caring Transitions retains the right to develop or authorize proprietary software programs or websites for use within the system, which franchisees may be required to purchase or license. Franchisees must also agree to execute any necessary license, sublicense, or maintenance agreements. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for upgrading and updating their Communication and Information System as specified in writing by Caring Transitions. The franchisee bears the sole responsibility for how their system interfaces with other systems and any consequences arising from improper operation, maintenance, or upgrades.
Franchisees are required to promptly enter and maintain all information required by Caring Transitions into the Communication and Information System. They must also provide reports from the collected data as requested and permit Caring Transitions to access the system at all times via the Internet or other specified means. This ensures that Caring Transitions can monitor and support the franchisee's operations effectively.
