What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a franchisee, you are responsible for specific expenses related to the initial training program. While Caring Transitions covers the costs for instructors, training facilities, and training materials, the franchisee must cover all other expenses for themselves and their trainees. These expenses include travel, room and board, wages, and payroll taxes.
This means that a prospective Caring Transitions franchisee needs to budget not only for the franchise fee and other initial investments but also for the full cost of attending the training program. These 'out of pocket' costs can vary significantly depending on location, duration of training, and the number of people attending the training. It is important to consider these costs when evaluating the overall financial feasibility of the franchise.
Furthermore, if the franchisee or their designated individual fails to begin the training program within ninety days after the franchise agreement's effective date, Caring Transitions has the right to terminate the agreement without refunding any money paid by the franchisee. This underscores the importance of being prepared to attend the training in a timely manner after signing the agreement.
