Can Caring Transitions discontinue the operation of its website at any time?

According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Caring Transitions has the right to discontinue the operation of its website at any time, based on its business judgment. This is explicitly stated in Item 20 of the FDD. This right extends to any website or web pages that Caring Transitions may provide or make available to the franchisee.

This means that a franchisee's online presence and marketing efforts could be affected if Caring Transitions decides to shut down the website. While Caring Transitions may designate web pages to describe the franchisee, the franchised business, and/or the franchisee's location within Caring Transitions' website, Caring Transitions retains the right to limit, reassign, and/or discontinue the content and/or operation of such website and web pages.

Prospective franchisees should be aware that Caring Transitions makes no guarantees regarding the suitability, reliability, or availability of any website it provides. The franchisee agreement also states that any website is considered "advertising" and is subject to Caring Transitions' approval. Therefore, franchisees need to align their online marketing strategies with the franchisor's policies and be prepared for potential changes or disruptions to the website's operation.
