We will disclose proprietary and confidential information to you in the operations manual, during ongoing training seminars, and in guidance furnished to you during the term of your franchise agreement.
You will not acquire any interest in any proprietary and confidential information we may communicate to you, other than the right to utilize it in the operation of your franchised business during the term of your franchise agreement. The information is disclosed to you solely on the condition that you (1) will not use it in any other business or capacity; (2) will maintain the absolute confidentiality of the information during and after the term of your franchise agreement; (3) will not make unauthorized copies of any portion of the operations manual or any other written communication from us; and (4) will adopt and implement all reasonable procedures we may require to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure of the information, including restrictions on disclosure of the information to employees of

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, proprietary and confidential information will be disclosed to franchisees through several channels. These include the operations manual, ongoing training seminars, and guidance provided during the term of the franchise agreement.
This proprietary information encompasses distinctive systems for operating estate and household liquidation and moving management businesses. These systems feature pricing methods, management techniques, proposals and management forms/formats, specifications, procedures, knowledge, and expertise in the operation of the businesses. Caring Transitions considers this information not commonly known to the public or its competitors, giving them a competitive advantage.
As a franchisee, you will only have the right to use this information during the term of your franchise agreement. You are prohibited from using it in any other business or capacity, and you must maintain its confidentiality both during and after the agreement. Unauthorized copies of the operations manual or any other written communication from Caring Transitions are forbidden. Furthermore, you must implement all reasonable procedures required by Caring Transitions to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure of the information, including restrictions on disclosure to employees.
