What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at national conferences is required for franchisees as of the effective date of the franchise agreement. Caring Transitions may also hold national or regional meetings and conferences for franchisees and personnel to provide additional training, facilitate the exchange of ideas related to sales, operations, and marketing, introduce new software, marketing programs, or promotional items, and for any other purpose determined by Caring Transitions.
Caring Transitions has the right to charge franchisees a reasonable fee to attend any required meetings or conferences. Additionally, Caring Transitions has the right to charge franchisees a fee if they fail to attend a required meeting or conference, which would reimburse Caring Transitions for a portion of the cost.
However, the Franchise Disclosure Document clarifies that Caring Transitions is not obligated to hold, provide, sponsor, host, or organize any such meetings. This means that while attendance at national conferences is currently required, Caring Transitions retains the discretion to modify or discontinue these conferences.
