- 5.7 Technology Fee. Franchisee shall pay, to Franchisor or a designated third-party, a Technology Fee of $250 by the fifth day of each month, for Internet marketing, web hosting, search engine optimization, email addresses, and other technology tools mandated, provided, or developed by Franchisor. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Transitions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a Technology Fee of $250 each month. This fee is due by the fifth day of each month and goes either to Caring Transitions or a third party they designate.
The Technology Fee covers specific technology-related services. These include internet marketing, web hosting, search engine optimization, email addresses, and other technology tools that Caring Transitions mandates, provides, or develops for its franchisees.
Franchisees are required to start paying this fee beginning on the fifth day of the third month after completing their initial training. However, there are two exceptions to this rule: if the franchisee previously operated a Caring Transitions franchise under an agreement effective at least six months earlier, or if they acquired their territory from another existing Caring Transitions franchisee, the fee is required immediately. Caring Transitions retains the right to increase this fee with a 30-day written notice.
