What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must provide written notice to renew their franchise agreement less than nine months, but more than six months, prior to the end of the initial term. The initial term for a Caring Senior Service franchise is five years.
To renew the franchise, the franchisee must not be in breach of the Franchise Agreement or any agreement between them or Caring Senior Service or its affiliates. They must also be compliant with all GreatCare certification requirements for their staff and caregivers. Additionally, the franchisee needs to execute the then-current form of franchise agreement and all other ancillary agreements, which may contain terms and conditions materially different from their current agreement.
It is important for prospective franchisees to understand these renewal requirements, as failure to meet them within the specified timeframe could result in the termination of their franchise. The potential for materially different terms in the renewed agreement also warrants careful review and consideration.
