You shall pay to us a non-refundable monthly Technology Fee, currently equal to One Thousand Forty Five Dollars ($1,045) per month but which we reserve the right to increase on written notice to you ("Technology Fee"). The Technology Fee is payable to us on the second Friday following completion of the two (2) week period in which Gross Billings and Royalty Fees are calculated that includes the 1st day of the month by electronic funds transfer, or such other method we designate. If the scheduled software lease payment due date is not a business day, then payment shall be due on the next business day. This Technology Fee is exchange for a continuing license to use the required software in connection with your Business, and also to be used in connection with certain software and technology related costs as determined by us in our discretion. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Technology Fee is payable on the second Friday following the completion of the two-week period in which Gross Billings and Royalty Fees are calculated that includes the 1st day of the month. The Technology Fee must be paid via electronic funds transfer or another method designated by Caring Senior Service. The current Technology Fee is $1,045 per month, but Caring Senior Service retains the right to increase this fee with written notice.
If the scheduled software lease payment due date is not a business day, the payment is due on the next business day. This fee grants the franchisee a continuing license to use the required software in connection with their Caring Senior Service business.
The Technology Fee covers various software and technology-related costs, including intranet development, support, maintenance, software or application development, customization, implementation, online, internet, or digital-related support, and hardware and/or software support. Failing to make timely payments for any fees, including the Technology Fee, can result in interest charges of 1.5% per month or the highest rate permitted by law, whichever is less. Continued failure to pay can be a material breach of the agreement and could lead to termination of the franchise agreement.
